The Shore Club, Miami 5*

Designed by famed British architect David Chipperfield and landscaping inspired by the rich intense Matisse-inspired colors of the Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech, Shore Club is redefining cool on Miami's South Beach. The landmarked Art Deco lobby is conceived as a calming transition to the labyrinth of gardens with secret passageways, alcoves and a succession of different outdoor 'rooms'.

The 309 remarkably appointed hotel rooms and 70 oversize suites feature Mexican sandstone bathrooms with custom designed glass enclosed wet-areas, 400 thread-count Egyptian linens and state-of-the-art in-room technology including digitally downloaded movies and wireless high-speed internet access.

Shore Club's 7 bungalows are adorned with hand-painted fabrics by Kim MacConnel and Izhar Patkin and feature teak-framed beds, private outdoor showers and outdoor dining areas that overlook a garden that blends within the surrounding landscapes facing the pool.

In room features include steam showers and jacuzzi (in select rooms), Korres bath products, flat-screen television, and cordless phone, speakerphone and dataport.

Two well-known restaurants are found inside the hotel. World-class Nobu, famed for its Japanese cuisine and exclusive clientele serves a sophisticated menu with a Latin influence.

The Shore Club features 10,000 square feet of meeting facilities including boardrooms, break-out rooms, rooftop terraces and outdoor meeting areas.

Recreation is best spent at the serene rooftop Spa that offers an extensive range of pampering treatments. It also has two swimming pools, one Olympic-sized and the other is a lap pool. Or work up a sweat at the excellent gym and fitness centre.
